Today, the world is facing a global threat landscape which has never been so complex or so challenging. Transnational organized-crime networks and terrorists are exploiting increasing globalization and technological developments.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, “Unity for Security” is an INTERPOL forum organized in partnership with the United Arab Emirates and the INTERPOL Foundation for a Safer World, and due to take place from 28 to 30 March 2017 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

It will bring together ministers with security portfolios, senior police officials, and representatives from the private sector, to collectively address common issues. “Unity for Security” will enable participants to identify their responsibilities in implementing a global policing architecture to combat future security threats.

The forum will also share the world police body’s approach to tackling three priority crime areas:
  • Counter-terrorism
  • Organized and emerging crime
  • Cybercrime
To be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, this March 2017 gathering will be an important milestone in harnessing the collective will to make our world a safer place.
